It is apparent that Teddy was going to get lobotomized at the lighthouse by his own will. Lobotomy in the description given in the film is to cut into the brain to reduce aggressive behavior and ultimately calm the individual down permanently. Even though the ambiguous scenes in the film of role-playing scenarios acted out by Teddy as a Marshal did not work in the doctors’ eyes, the film ends in reinforcing the ‘kill or cure impulse’ to solve the problems throughout the movie. Starry Night is a perfect example of a post-impressionist artwork. It was painted in June 1889, using oil paint on canvas. The artwork depicts the village of Saint-Remy, as seen from Van Sagos window in the Saint-Remy Hospital where he was staying. An enormous sky dominates the picture and falls upon the quiet town. The large halos on the stars dwarf the small quiet town beneath, perhaps suggesting that humans are tiny in comparison with nature and the stars. Enfermo ser enfermo (to be sickly, an invalid): El perro llegà ³ a ser enfermo y murià ³. (The dog became sickly and died. Orgulloso ser orgulloso (to be proud in a bad way, such as by being boastful): Mi esposo es orgulloso y prepotente. Yo tolero muchas veces su indiferencia y egoà ­smo. (My husband is prideful and arrogant. I often put up with his indifference and egotism.) estar malo (to be proud of something or someone in a positive way): Mi madre estaba orgullosa de lo que sus hijos estaban haciendo. (My mother was proud of what her children were doing.)
